Yes! Yes! We are here. Thanks to all of you who are asking if all is well with us here at Appointed design. We are keeping busy with year end things as well as new year starts. We will be back in the saddle before long – I promise!

Here are a few custom design THG Photography highlights from the year…… Oh how to pick faves??

Lets start with some collages. Oh how larger blog images would be nice… hum, something for the new year perhaps! ;0)

Mini Session

Today we got a family mini session done by THG photography. I was in love with Janet’s work the minute I open these babies up. A gorgeous family (with 5 kids no doubt) done in an urban setting. The goal – a “different” Christmas card. They are all layered in textures (most are warmer)… I mean come on, what do expect from Janet. Take a peek at some of our faves and see what we came up with.

Notice the twin with his little blazer and his hand in his pocket – he’s already working it at his young age.

I know, I know… we’ve been away, but we’ve really enjoyed time with family! We’ve got some jobs waiting to be posted but for today we’ve got just one. It’s a good one!! This shoot comes by way of Shawna Schaub the outstanding design photographer! Shawna first shared this shoot with me on the phone before I ever got to see any images. The lighting was a bit of a challenge that day along with a few other things so I was not sure what to expect. Shawna has a very particular style that she is becoming well know for …. and she sets her bar high so as to give her clients the very best in images as well as products. Well, oh my did these images ever turn out awesome! Her client had gorgeous creamy color skin and perfect “popping” eyes. Her cheeks just glow in so many images! I can’t help but love those close ups! Lets peek at Shawna’s clean look….

This was a great session with lots of looks… as per usual for Janet of THG photography. It was hard to pick faves on this one. Let’s take a peek.

Love how the color of the sunset looks in the window and the depth the texture adds!

Great set up! Love the hard fade on this shot.

A bit of guy grunge graphic layers.

Some warm grunge layers and text to go with the blue B&W.

This one is sporting a green gold fade and some more scratchy grunge layer with a rusty border overlay.

A classic bright eyed head shot.

We had to through another one in…:)

We love this shot! The black splatters are on the wall and we added text to match + a bit more texture.

This one has a different look. Hard fade with a warmed pink overlay.

Some scratches add to the destruction look.

I love the way this set up was done. Very low key color in the outfit and background so that the poker chips really stand out. I’m thinking that his extra curricular activities include cards.:)

This last shot is rockin! The set up, color, sun flare, grunge and attitude of the shot all make it a killer image!

THG Senior Style

We have another senior to show you today. This tough guy comes by way of the talented THGphotography and has Janet written all over it. The “J” shows off some of her mad skills in this one. I really dig some of the football shots. This one was worked with lots of layers and packed with effects to give that THG style that we’ve all come to love. Here we go, with just the pics this time…

Senior time!

Does anyone else out there wonder when they will be all caught up? I’ve got about 2 weeks of craziness to get caught up an and then some time off for one of the most glorious times of the year! I’m so excited just thinking about it. After the Christmas holidays, is a big administrative time for me and a time to do forward thinking for Appointed Design. I long for the time of creative thinking and work, but until then we’ll try to pump out some more images for you to view!

This time we got a senior by THG photography and it has a funky twist that seems to suet the personality of the senior just right. Let me tell you, it is a good thing when someone (a senior in this case) can find a photog that will come into their world of thoughts and even sense of style to make a session of images totally and completely theirs. With no more chatter…

This girl’s eyes will blow you away. They are huge with very dark lashes and brows to frame them.

Here is a bit of her world through Janet’s lens. Check out the strong contrast. Outdoor bright vibrant colors with her monotone formal look. It is really something to just ponder awhile.

Bare back in a dainty dress. Does this girl have her own style or what? I love the boldness in this one.

I have a few very faves on this set and this is one of them. I adore everything about it. It makes me want to study it for awhile. The elements, the angle, the colors, the look, the feel….

A soft classic love story is in this one.

A little more of that teenage look in this one… but a sense of depth. Richness and textures added in.

This very well could be one of my all time favorite images ever! LIKE EVER!! I want to talk about it all day and think I need to be still at the same time. It is so reminiscent of a 16th century piece to me. Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! It’s an insight into God’s creativity and beauty to me.
